    Good Afternoon,

I'm 24 yr old drummer being playing for the best part of a decade now with some career brakes inbetween, just come back from travelling and would like to play with some like minded left of field musicans.

I used to play in heavy rock/metal (grown out of that by now) and some singer songwriter bands but never played in a band which actually played the music I listen and love, usually electronic/indie.

    So if you like:-
Super Furry Animals, David Kitt, Wheat, And you will know us by the trail of the dead, Sigur Ros

And you:- require a drummer give me a shout.

As you can imagine no time wasters or people just learning. Looking to start around early mid jan.

Few requests and demands hope they meet...

I've got a band together and you probably know it's not easy getting people committed to the cause.

We're working on various covers by u2, the doors, hendrix, the beatles, metallica, velvet revolver, aerosmith and coming up with originals all the time.

I know you said that you're not 100 per cent interested in doing more rock music, but we're working on varying degrees of types of music. I'd like it to focus on a rock/ blues type thing.

At the moment there's me(singer) and two guitarists, i'm determined to get this up and running again quickly so i need a good committed drummer as quickly as possible.

    Hello,
I've been thinking of setting up a band for a while. I've been playing gigs around dublin as a singer/songwriter, aswell as a few covers, for quite some time now, and recently I decided it's time to get serious about it.
I tried taking up the drums before and I think I was a natural but I couldn't afford a kit and gave it up. Can you sing? Can you dance?

It's funny you mention these bands, cause I like and play all of them (except all the ones but wheat). I'd like to try to set up a meeting and maybe you can knock some pots around. I'm also meeting a basist soon enough.

I'm really trying to find a drummer at the moment cause we all know how difficult it is to find a good one ... actually, you probably wouldn't suit anything, so ... screw you.

    Kevin

p.s. no time wasters please, and especially no learners Steve.

pp.ss. like my ugly mug on the sillian rayl site? Download "juice.mpg", classic.

nice one, super furry animals are my favourite band
since "fuzzy logic" came out right up to "slow life" era. I'd say "mwng" is my favourite album of theirs. I play guitar/keys write songs and play with a bassist right now and we have a bunch of songs but need an open minded drummer, like loads of different music, off the top of my head(and as well as those bands) i like velvet underground, brian wilson, arthur lee/love, grandmaster flash and the furious five, the coral, anything on the "souljazz" label and "studio one" series, beck, beatles, zombies, patti smith, bigstar, silver apples, boomtown rats, ibrahim ferrer, zutons, this list is gettin long so basically soul, jazz, rhythm n blues, electronica, rock n roll!!
i can show you some songs before gettin into a rehearsal room or make you up a tape if you want. Where are you based in Dublin? do you have a place to practice drums? if you're at all interested let me know

    Hi,

I read your post and I liked your influences and your attitude. We`re a highly ambitious soulful pop-rock band and we`re looking for someone who is passionate about being the drummer in a very successful band.

We`re a four-piece (rhythm and lead guitars, bass, percussion/trumpet) and we need someone experienced enough to know when to lay off the cymbals. Recording experience (to a click track) is also vital.

We`ve an average age of 22 and our primary influences are Stevie Wonder, Blur, Groove Armada, Beck, Queen, Sublime.

If you`re still looking for a band please feel free to give me a call at 087 2102922.

    All the best,
    Thanks a million,
    Danny
