How do those dates suit people?

Actually pro evolution over the lan would be nice.

Well after seeing how the guys in Cleggan run their LANs I think something special would be cool...

    FOOD!

We got a 3 course meal included with the 15 euro price tag of the LAN and for once I didn't feel sick from all the junk food of a LAN....would be alot harder for a 40+ person lan but it's got to be something to think about..

Games; Pro Evo 4 if it's any good (havent played), nfsu2 (definately, lan option built in this time), Cs: Source (it's not often I enjoy cs, but I enjoyed this game in cleggan - let's just hope they crack steam so that I can play it).

Of course the other usuals as well.

Oh, forgot to mention, might not be there this time.....all depends on how seriously the parents are gonna take this whole exam stuff.

    Posse out

Pro Evo 4 owns, runs a bit laggy over the network sometimes (even lan)

What I do with my brother is plug both joypads into one computer and play it out on one screen, totally perfect, rather than have some loss..

    PRo Evo Tourney!

I'll be free. Any ideas on venue?

I can bring my mini-oven for the reheating of food / cooking of said foodstuffs.

    Power layout a must.

    in all fairness Caliden

LMAO @ "4-7th of febuary, i already asked this but noone answered,
    those are weekdays right."

There is the menlo, there is upstairs and downstairs in the anno santo and there is NUI... power hazzardous.

I like the menlo (cause its near me) and we should find out how to turn on the heat next time. The anno santo is more "intimate" but smaller. NUI is a no no for me. But I'll go anywhere.

The Anno Santo would be good, menlo was nice'n'big but no shops nearby....college was a great venue but the lack of overnight possibilities was ****.

I vote anno, and a bank holiday weekend :) .

The Anno can only hold 20 people.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,982 ✭✭✭Caliden

oops forgot to change the year to 2005. :E
also **** CS:source tbh as nobody has it and its ****e too.

We *could* join two rooms, but it would be hassle, would look messy and I'd worry about signal interference one the uplinks.

CS source was a lot of bother at the last lan I was at. No one had it updated and in offline mode.

At the shannonlan house lan wed and derry lan on tues we used a cracked version of Cs sourse and had no problems maby if we used cracked version for the tourlament would solve the problems.

Or maybe if we all commited suicide it might make for a better tournament.

Jesus Christ, we shouldn't be using cs:source for the competition until we're forced to, i.e all the leagues start using it. And that hasn't happened yet, and probably won't in the near future. Play cs:s all you want on public, but the tournament will be cs 1.6

Annoying about Menlo not being near any shops I know, but its clearly better than the Anno. Even though I only live 5 mins drive from the Anno.

Don't have it on a long weekend, people will have family down / going to visit people and it will be awkward. Any non-descript weekend would be good. Plenty of advertisment and notice, and a power map made out... As well as a list of protocols on how to hook up to the lan. i.e. AVG before even looking at the router. Enable mac filtering on the routers if available to stop people accessing network unauthosised, and savage beatings for those using windows shares.

    Be Seeing You,
    N

Good god yes, I bloody hate windows shares.
