Hi, I am fairly new to all this, so I'm not too sure if this is in the right thread.
I have a few mp3 tracks at home which I have got over the years, but I was wondering can you convert them to Wav files, and if so whats the best way to do this. Is there any sites that supply Users with good converters or do you have to buy them.

    Thanks.
    Your comments are appreciated.

Why do you want to convert them to WAV's if you don't mind me asking?

it won't increase the quality. The only way quality will change, is if it gets worse.

I'd recommend DBPoweramp for any encoding/decoding of music files.

Eh because I dont have an mp3 player in the car, and wanted to listen to them on the cd player

Software like Nero Burning ROM will convert your MP3s and burn as an audio CD, all in one go. No point in converting and then burning, just use Nero and it'll do all that for you.

Well then just get a burning program like nero. That'll automatically convert them to the cda format and burn it to the disk for you, no need to worry about getting an encoder/decoder!

think your best bet is to burn them on to a CD. iTunes has a very user-friendly interface for doing this.

I find that if the mp3 is vbr, converting to wav before buring in Nero will stop any pops/clicks during playback on car stereo. If they cbr i don't get that problem.

    DBPoweramp here too.

Even windows media player will do the job fine and easily if you don't have nero.

As others have said it's quite possible to do this for free. The following 2 sites have loads of software, (and for free!), but make sure you get a windows programme.

A piece of advice: Starting a thread with 'Help needed' as a subject line, isn't very helpful. Ideally the subject should be descriptive. Something like "MP3 help needed" is OK and "MP3 to WAV?" would be very helpful. It means the people who know about this kind of thing will be able to give you advice, and it's more polite.
