Well you can pick up a Thompson DVD player in Peats on Parnell Street for around €60. There is also the Philips DVP520 in Dixons in the Jervis Centre for €74 the last time I had a look. This is the cheapest I have seen this model. Hope it helps.

Well Lidl were doing a Divx dvd player last week for €80. It seemed pretty good. Might be some still in storeS as there seemed to be loads left. Apart from being Divx it also had a 3 year warranty which is handy if you don't trust non-brand names.

    Might be worth a look.

Go for the lidl one. Excellent features, warranty and the region free crack right here on boards, so no need to waste time searching.

thanks guys,iv just been told xtra vision have a phillips for 79eur plus vouchers for 50eur. anyone know what way those vouchers come? i.e. are they 50 x 1 eur vouchers??!! think i might go with this one as its the more noticeable name, not neccessarily the best.

chump could you explain how the region free crack works?

I think the best of the cheap dvd players is the Mitsi Black Diamond BD48DVD
Its muliti region plays most if not all formats mp3 jpeg divx etc is from 64.99 around and also has an optical out.
