Ebay - I bought nice (€550 here) Citizen for €225 from some crowd in Canada, and a Casio ProTrek from Hong Kong.

WATCH OUT FOR DUTY AND VAT!!! - it is not incurred on any intra EU transactions, items MARKED as gifts or commercial samples or on any item worth less than about €40 (don't know exact figure).

They are obliged to charge, but if it might be a gift then they might not charge.
USPS was (still is for a short while) handled by GLS - they were unmerciful in their charging - you were lucky.

hmmm interesting, when I called GLS in relation to an insured USPS package, which was left without signing OUTSIDE my porch, they told me they dont handle US mail at all?, scarier still USPS themselves didnt seem to know who handle it

I'm sure I was lucky, in saying that, i'v had a number of parcels like the above which, was a laptop last year, which passed though customs without any prob, all marked on the customs docket as merchandise.

Thanks for the help.I think ebay is the way to go alright.Whether or not you have to pay customs duty seems like a bit of a lottery. It's probally worth the risk though, considering some of the deals on ebay at the moment.

depends what you want, madabout watches.co.uk, good 2nd hand stuff, watches are garunteed, poor mans watch forum, ull get a pretty decent one there, and remember the buck is no longer almighty, most of these people are collectors, and are constantly buying and selling, if a watch is said to be working then its perfect, these people are craftsmen and take great pride in their work. affordable watch forum.com, only sells watches under $200. i do have some for sale @ times maby i have something to suit you
