you could check the post and ask one of those people who offer collection of things like washing machines and stuff, they would know where to find places like that.

Isn't all of clare a scrapheap?

There's a car dismantlers/old parts place in Raheen, on the right about 1/2 mile past the Southcourt hotel as you head for Patrickswell. Can't think of the name, but they have fields full of old motors, try 11850 and ask for car dismantlers.
