Its hard to wander through this life wearing
a fair hue and pretty disguise,
    With hate simmering over inside
    and anger upon my mind.

Tough it is to speak lines of lies
    coupled with deceit,
To walk down a darkening street
    without your own heartbeat.

But its easy to slander and destroy
    rather than create and magnify,
    To hide in shame
    To burn in pity.
Until you devour yourself bit-by-bit by bit.

Or when a dark cloud covers all,
dreams you had of great enthral,
Of havening hills and sercret waterfalls
    Till your mind says 'No'
    And your mask then falls.

ooo, short but sweet. I like it.
I get a feeling of being lonely and turning the care you have into hate, its easier to push them away than to have them see you, who you really are and deal with the loss later?
It's what I got from it anyway ;)

hope to see some more ;)

I wrote this about a year ago,and just reading over it again it strikes me of incredible self-pity and a typical teenage-angst poem.Bit pathetic really.

BTW,you're interpretation is eerily close to what was going through my head at the time.Impressive.Anyway,thanks for the nice words and interpretation. ;)

I like it. First two stanzas stick out to me in particular.

I liked it. Very tightly expressed and straight to the point without lingering. I hope you have more?
