SE Z600 will not play sounds

    Hi

    Have a wee problem with my SE Z600. Since yesterday, if anybody rings me the only way I know is if I have vibrate set. I cannot hear the phone (and I have the normal profile set and ring volume up to the last).

    Also, if I go into My Sounds and play some of the sounds in there, it plays them alright but I cannot hear them!!!!

    If I turn on my keypads ringtones I can hear those no problem.

    Anyone got any ideas ? I have done a Master Reset (with deleting my contacts etc) but that was no good plus have powered on/off a couple of times.

    Any help would be appreciated!!

    no - have not dropped it. i was transterring some images from my laptop to my z600 via a USB Bluetooth dongle but they transferred ok. phone was working fine. then later on that evening i went to play a xmas sound for my son (he likes the music) and it would not work. it is playing it but i cannot hear it.

    this is really frustrating!!!

    Had the exact same problem with my Z600, but after a week or so it just seemed to sort itself out. Browsed the net during that time and it seems it's one of the more common problems with the phone but no-one knows why or what causes it - damp is the best theory. Sorry I can't be more help but maybe just give it time?

    well, have turned phone off, taken battery out and placed both in the hotpress (still some heat in there) and will see if that does anything!!
