Bought one of these of ebay for £31 and it works for C5, C4, ITV etc, should have bought one a long long time ago, question

Can i keep telephone connected to my minibox in bedroom ( i have multi room ) when using this card, i have a second sub sky card as well (Irish epg) , basically for football etc. Is there any way sky can detect i have a diff card if ringing my box.

    Thanks in advance.

If you leave the uk card in the box when the phone is connected, sky will be able to cop this and will kill it.Never have the phone line connected when using a uk FTV card!

just a handy piece of info for those "living in the uk", you can order up to 4 cards at the same address ... for quad lnb + dogeyboxes... so that will be handly to pass onto any any uk friends who need all 4 cards ... hint hint ...

 Donhuberto, I'm thinking of buying one of those yellow house cards on eBay. Any pitfalls or anything I should look out for. I notice there are 2 versions mentioned by sellers?
I also notice a posting there by Strombone saying his card has stopped working. Is yours still ok? And some sellers say things like "APPLIES TO UK RESIDENTS, INCLUDING THE ISLE OF MAN AND CHANNEL ISLANDS".
I notice on one ebay posting (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=60837&item=5738490649&rd=1) that you can get a new card from sky. Has anyone got one recently and do they work. I have relatives in NI so could ask them to order this for me.

how bout eire ... if you have your own installed quad lnb [and a sky digital subscription] can you order extra irish 'yellow house cards' ?

    Nope. This doesnt work.
Its the cards that are given out now by Freesat from Sky (the old "Solus" / FTV cards) Licence holders in the UK can get 4 FTV cards per address.

Ireland doesnt have an FTV card system, and the only way to get more cards from Sky is having Sky Multiroom installed, and paying €15 pm extra for it.

edit... oooooh 3999, best make 4000 extra special.....
