No...and I have been waiting for months for the upgrade. Have been holding off using my gmail account for my primary email, was going to switch in the summer then I heard about the Hotmail upgrade and I held off... but still on a lousy 2 mb!

MSN announced they would be upgrading all the free accounts to 250mb for free.

I'm gonna email them over it now.

Yep. I know of two people who are now at 250mb and both without requesting it.

Apparently they are introducing the upgrade according to when you signed up to hotmail, so if you signed up say 10 years ago you should have it by now. Cant be sure of this though!

My mate has a Brit acct and he has had 250mb since June, I have been waiting about 6 mths and still no sign......
I am half thinking about quitting hotmail and migrating to Gmail.
although www.gmail-is-too-creepy.com is kind of throwing me a bit.

Getting increasingly irritated with "warning you are approaching your limit" everytime I have to delete the spam from my hotmail a/c that M$ are too crap too filter out.

I've switched most of my mail diversions to g-mail. Might switch them all over soon if they don't cop the hell on.

I think it goes by whatever country you signed up from. Only the UK seems to have been upgraded so far.

Aye, am still on my 2mb here, and i must have signed up a good 5 years back

Use gmail now, is far superior

Am also getting sick of the whole 'google scans your email to put ads in it'

Yeah, because hotmail/yahoo dosent scan your email for virii or spam etc

I've actually found the ads useful, not like the hotmail *flash*flash*blink

Google watch is completly full of crap. It is run by a guy who use to spam google with those crappy fake link sites and got slapped for it.

It is about as safe and any other free online email site (or normal pop3 mail for that matter).

According to the inquirer, accounts based in the UK, Canada, US and Australia have been updated, but there appears to be no method to their madness.

Been using Gmail for a while now, would find it hard to go back, but some people still email my hotmail account. If anyone wants an ol' invitation send me a pm.

    Ciaran500: any reply yet?

When ever anyone has a Hotmail account and complains that GMail is too creepy, I always remember this section from the Hotmail Service agreement:
