    Hi!
just wondering if anyone is doing or has done the masters in software engineering in Maynooth? Any info would be appreciated- would you recommend it? how does it compare to the course in DCU? are the courses and lecturers good? etc.

    Thanks!
    Elaine

Yeah I have been doing it part time for the last two yrs so I have plenty of insight into the course etc. What do you want to know?

It is very intense like a week of lectures 9-5 and then a week long assignment on what you just learnt and it does challenge you. Then after those two weeks 1 theory 1 practical you start the next course straight away so there is no let off. I think this year the intro a few prep courses like for java and C++ for those that havent used them in a while so that kind of helps I am sure in breaking a few of the courses up. It is semesterised so there are exams in Jan and then in the summer May-June. It has some interesting courses Internet Solutions being my fav. I am sure u have seen the website:

Ask away if you have anymore questions
