Hi, Has anyone come across a Linux Dist for CCTV purposes? I keep finding some pci card that boasts "embedded linux os" which tells us precisely squat. Reason being we have a server in work that I'd like to try linux on - maybe get an uptime of longer than a week - there's always the shance someone is breaking into a car…

Hi,

Reason being we have a server in work that I'd like to try linux on - maybe get an uptime of longer than a week - there's always the shance someone is breaking into a car as win 2k is booting...

Someone made a Slackware LiveCD specifically to run ZoneMinder for this purpose. I had some problems with it, but then I had some hinky hardware. Worth a shot.
