Just wondering, because the UEFA game I am interested in watching tomorrow is on this channel. I've come accross channels that are supposed to be FTA(Mpeg) but didn't actually manage to get (in which case it's better not to move the dish). So just a yes or a no would do...

BTW, I'm in Dublin and I've got the Lidl system (80cm dish, FTA receiver,...)

    Thanks

    Thanks for the info.

According to the Sirius website, both Europe and Nordic BSS pics have the antenna diameter, but FSS Europe has EIRP(dBW)... Anybody care to explain that to me or translate it into antenna diameter if it applies?

telecinesk, should I pray that it doesn't rain?:D

EIRP values and corresponding dish sizes:

This assumes of course that the footprints are accurate and weren't scribbled out in crayon by some drug-addled engineer at 4 in the morning. IOW don't always believe the footprints.

It's often useful to see if someone else has reported reception - there's one here for an 80cm dish on the west coast of Wales, so you might be in luck given good weather conditions.

Today of all days the weather is not going to be what I'd say good. I heard on the radio this morning that we can expect winds of about 50mph...

Yeah, but the skies are very clear. Just a matter of making sure your dish is well secured.

    well did ya get it?

Nope! I tried for a while but it was freezing and I was incubating a flu... until last night! I got Astra back instead and listened to the game on the radio...

    BTW, the result was:

Standard Liege 1-7 Athletic Bilbao :D   :):p:D

Thank you all anyway for the help.

    PS: I support Athletic!!!

I get a bunch of channels on that bird, but not that one. Not a whisper of signal on 80/90cm lidl dish near Limerick.

I was thinking that if they broadcast some live Spanish league football FTA (according to L.J.'s website), it makes sense to me that we can't get the channel. Wouldn't it breach the contracts that give the rights to Sky or other subscription channels?

If somebody can watch free Spanish footie though, I'd love to hear it... :D
