New system - initial startup problem

Hi,

I have a new system put together but am having some initial problems which somone might be able to help out on.

Tha basic guts are and Abit IC7 mobo with Intel 3.2G CPU, 1 Gb mem and 2 brand new SATA hard drives.

On first bootup, I got the messages which show the detection of the memory and CPU but then the following message appeards. "NTLDR not found" and it just hangs at that.

I'm pretty sure all the BIOS settings are as they should be.

Any ideas?

reinstall windows (if you had it previously installed). Or try a new Windows CD if you're getting the error while trying to boot off your current one. That should solve it.

Using an old windows install on new hardware is highly unrecommended.
