    If you're using XP SP2 RC2???

It would appear that MS have disabled the view-source: protocol (view-source:http://www.site.com) as there have been reports of vulnerabilities with notepad (and WordPad if the file size is very large).

Its a shame that this has been disabled rather than fixed. Mozilla seems to be able to do it ok.

    see bottom of page below...

Gryzor, that doesn't apply to the right-click and "view source".

More info please Cork Skate. Some example sites, What Version of XP (SP1, SP2, etc)

It could be to do with too much files in the Temporary Internet Folder.

So clear your Temporary Internet Folder.

    C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\

Here's a good solution: Use Mozilla Firefox
    http://www.mozilla.org/firefox

Anything Microsoft is evil... and you know it.
