Unless you have a fairly new PC, you wont have PCI-E, heres the AGP version, definetely the best mid-range card atm, getting one myself for xmas.

the 6600GT does seem to be the one to go for. It will set you back a little bit more than €200 though, around €225 delivered is the cheapest I've seen.

Just clicking through some sights and noticed the x850xt will be available in Komplett at 6800gt prices  Granted not confirmed yet but looks good especially with these type of stats and reviews and the x800xl on the way as well.

Hell il wait for the x850xt even if it doesnt do Sli a card as fast/faster than an Ultra for way cheaper (what the f*ck)
    Anyone hear anything

Yeah, you'd be kicking yourself in a few months time if you didn't for the sake of a few quid like that.
Here's some info on 6600GTs from a link I found on another thread (courtesy of Nukem)

Jes is the best bet i would say PCI-E and AGP they have got a few more in AGP

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,496 ✭✭✭quarryman

    none in stock though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,082 ✭✭✭Nukem

2 6600gts are ordered and there are two more in stock but are 219.99 - th e leadtek is there which in my view is worth the extra 20quid, read the article at the top and in the middle of this thread. It looks to be in the top 3 6600gts the whole time

Also OcUK dearer but available now

none in stock in dabs either. OCUK are too expensive shipping wise. reckon i'll order it from the US. better choice and if you buy through an international shipper (and avoid tax) it'll work out way cheaper since the dollar is so crap at the moment.

The X800LE is going to be the one to get!!

Its slightly has sligthtly slower core speeds than the X800 pro but has 16 pipelines..

This Club3D card on JES at €199.90 is the cheapest one referred to. I didn't go through the entire login/checkout rigmarole but surely €25 would be the most delivery could cost???
I know most of them are at least €220 and I am not saying this is the best one by any means, but I only said cheapest I'd seen.

Edit: I have since discovered that the Club3d card has slower memory 450MHZ and that the PNY 6600GT is slower on both the core and ram, with both being 450MHz on that card. It seems that not all 6600GTs are created equal.
