Just a heads up if anyones interested in watching this. Should be entertaining.
LIVE and EXCLUSIVE you get to see the World’s greatest footballers on the pitch at one time, including David Beckham, Ronaldo, Paul “Gazza” Gascoigne, Zidane, Alan Shearer, Raul, Fernando Morientes, Roberto Carlos and Dwight Yorke as they host a United Nations sponsored match at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium. This is truly fantasy football at its best.

Brazilian striker Ronaldo and Real clubmate Zinedine Zidane, both UN Goodwill Ambassadors, have invited a mass of world class football stars to join them for a second edition of the "Match Against Poverty: Zidane v Ronaldo All Stars," on December 14, 2004.

The inaugural edition of the Match took place in Basel, Switzerland, on 15 December 2003. That match was greatly received around the world after featuring the top players in the world - it ended in an entertaining 4-3 victory for Ronaldo’s team. Ronaldo and Zidane will each captain a team in order to raise resources for anti-poverty projects in developing countries and to call upon everyone to get engaged in one way or another in overcoming poverty. Pierluigi Collina has agreed again to referee the match.

“We cannot rest on the great success of the first edition of the Match against Poverty,” said Ronaldo and Zidane, both of whom grew up in difficult financial circumstances. “As long as poverty keeps plaguing a fifth of the world’s population, we have to step up our efforts to overcome it. We are determined to do this. And this time, by organising the Match Against Poverty in Spain thanks to the wonderful support of the Real Madrid, we hope to make new audiences aware that it is everyone’s responsibility to reach the 2015 deadline set by world leaders for halving poverty.”

Zidane also said former France stars such as Laurent Blanc and Didier Deschamps, both 1998 World Cup-winning teammates, would likely come out of retirement for the occasion.

    LIVE on Bravo at 8pm
