I have tried all the major ISPs and Hosting companies looking for a job in a technical support role for the summer or part time however, they either said they weren't looking for anyone or didn't reply. So has anyone any idea on what kind of job I could get for the summer and where becuase there is little point in me doing a Computer Science Degree and then working in a bar or construction site during the summer.

try your local authority. they're usually pretty ok about taking on ppl and, AFAIK, they (the individual section that would employ you), can claim a lot of your wages back off the government so as not to affect their budget much, making it not such a bad idea to employ you.

i'm wide open to correction on this though so don't quote me on any of it. but its well worth a shot.

any ideas on where to apply or who to apply to?

Just check out the usual websites, like Recruit Ireland, Monster, FAS, Nixers etc. Some of the bigger places like Micorsoft, HP you can appy direct. But they also advertise on the recruitment sites anyway. You could register with some of the agencies too. They are scum, but sometimes you just have to use them. Just make sure that you don't apply for the same job through two agencies and direct to the company at the same time. Gets messy.

esat are looking for part time tech support people. But mailing NOW about a job for the summer is a bit premature. When I worked there all the part timers were students.
