Best shortcuts?

Just when you think you know all the good keyboard shortcuts….

Anyway, found this out today.

In IE or Firefox. If you type a website into the address bar, say 'google'. And then press ctrl+Enter it adds the ‘www’ and ‘.com’ bit for you.

Does anyone else have little known useful shortcuts?

ctrl + l in firefox / mozilla brings you to the address bar. ctrl + k = google search bar in firefox

(I wish it had the dropdown google option that mozilla does)

In opera if you copy a url from a text page or whatever with <ctrl>+C, if you want to paste it into the address bar you would normally <ctrl>+V for paste and then hit <Enter>.

If you use <ctrl>+D, it pastes and goes to the website. Same as <ctrl>+V, then <Enter>. very handy indeed

Windows key + r brings up the run box
Windows key + e bring up explorer
Windows key + m minimizes everything
tab key finishes off location paths in command prompt

In IE - ctrl-D selects the location bar
Opera - middle mouse button opens a link in a new page
opera - F2 opens a location bar

ctrl+shift+escape : Windows Task manager
winkey+break : Computer properties, quick access to device manager
winkey+d : Show desktop (similar to winkey+m)
alt+F4 : Close current program/window or shut down windows
alt+tab : switch programs
alt+space : window control menu thingy, fast min/max access
ctrl+z : Undo (very very usefull)
