Exif Information Removal

Does anyone here know a good program to remove exif information from digital images. I publish some of my flicks on the web and privacy regarding the picture is important to me. Currently all kind of info is stored from the aperature and shutter speed and time the picture was taken to the serial number of my canon camera that took the photo. At the moment all I can do is copy the image in photoshop and paste it into a new image and resave the new image. This is a pain in the ass when you have a large amount of flicks. I've found programs that read the info but none that delete it from the image. Any help would be much appreciated.

It really depends on what type of information you want to remove.

There are 2 types associated with digital photos EXIF and IPTC. If you want to remove the camera settings then it's EXIF. If you want to remove copyright info/date/name than it's IPTC.

ACDSee will let you change that info AFAIK but it's photo-by-photo. No batch mode.

Exifer for Windows should also work but I've never tried it.

    Just found this site:

    www.hugsan.com/EXIFutils/

It's shareware and seems to do what you need !

I dont suggest you to save as web or resave the images by some graphic editing app. such as Photoshop, ACDSee and so on. It will lost plenty of detail of image.

You can try to remove EXIF data in image file by PowerExif Editor. It can clear all Exif data without hurting quality of image. The pro version provide a batch tool for erasing Exif data in a lot of image files at the same time.
