Just logged into My Meteor via meteor.ie (mymeteor.ie has been down for direct access).. It's all been done up and the amount of free texts have gone up from 20 to 300.

It's now Ireland only though :( Ya win some, ya loose some!
    Overall, I'm happy..

Just went in now and thought I'd got the scoop (Well done Emerson)!

300 free texts. And about time too. Ireland only is a bit of a bummer, but maybe in time ... The interface is a little easier too, in fact it looks a lot more like the O2 version.

It is now 300 for me as well. They have changed My Meteor around completly.

It is a shame that you can no longer text international numbers with My Meteor. I think I was better off with 30 international texts ...

I can also see the new site but still only 30 texts... I wonder what the difference is between accounts with 300 and those with 30?

I assume they are slowly updating it to 300 for all. I have had an account since they launched.

"view calls" is not working for me on the new site

Does anyone know how you can qualify for the Plus plans?

Ah, it appears anyone who was signed up before August 23rd is on 'legacy' plans and don't seem to be eligible for these upgrades... anyone know what the story with that is? Can we oldies swtich to plus plans?

You'd think they would give everyone 300 espically the older customers for sticking with them for so long......

30 for me too, and I've been with meteor for over a year.

    To clear this up...

    There are four price plans:

Anytime - not 100% sure, think it was 55c a minute all day except to meteor customers which is 9c a min.

Leisure time - not 100% sure, think it was 55c (voda, O2) 40c Meteor peak, and 13c off peak any network

Anytime plus - 20c a minute any time of the day any network

Leisure time plus - 40c a minute peak, 13c off peak to any network

On August 23rd the two plus price plans were introduced. All new customers can only choose between the two plus price plans. Old customers stayed on their original price plan but have the option to switch to the two new price plans, they can however never go back to their old price plan.

The catch? Well the two new price plans are much better value for money, however international calls cost more. The two original plans give you bonus credit each month where as the two new ones offer savings on the go. I personally switched as soon as the new price plans came out.

The only exception to this advice is if all your friends are on meteor and you want to be able to call them for 9c a minute anytime of the day. In which case stay on Meteor anytime.

I strongly recommend looking at the price plans on the meteor website, decide which price plan will offer you the most savings and switch. You can do this on the website or by calling 1905.

I see now, I kept on trying to use "Change Call Plan" in Firefox but it never worked (like, I'd click the button and *nothing* would happen) so I tried it in Internet Explorer and everything worked fine. Still wondering whether to change or not though.

You know what would kick ass? The part where it tells you how much your calls cost on "View Your Calls" - if that could tell you how much they would have cost under the other 3 plans.
