Does anyone know why, at around 11pm last night, buses coming out of town were not going through Donnybrook, but were instead taking a random route through Ballsbridge before coming back onto the Dual Carriageway at Donnybrook bus garage?

Nope - the bus driver announced that he wasn't going through Donnybrook just before he turned left down to Baggot Street.
