cheapest way to get to oz, sydney

    hi, thinking of heading to oz for a couple of weeks next year, what would be my best bet, trailfinders?

    See about getting passage on a container ship. its cheap, takes a while, but its cheap. You could possibly even crew it and get paid and if nothing else its a story for the kids.

    I'm not sure about going by ship - that's the first I've heard of it!
    Unfortunately, any way you look at it, getting to Oz is not going to be cheap. A regualr Travel Agent, or USIT, would probably be just as cheap as trying to do it online.
    I guess you are looking at at least €550.

    I know JAL (Japan Airlines) do some good deals via Frankfurt or London then Tokyo...let us know what deal u eventually get.

    I don't know what the place is called but its directly across from Eamonn Dorans in Temple Bar and they had some cracking deals for getting to the land down under as far as I can remember.
