    I CRUMBLE


    You see the man,
    made just to crumble,
    the smile painted,
    forsaken & left humble,
    spirit high,
    in the time of never,
    thoughts collide,
    confusion reigning over you,
    unsure of want or need,
    my position remaining true,
    kind words with your creator,
    am I the one left to hang,
    us left to resolve for later.

    Candle flames reflect,
    the spark that exists,
    in the deep mututal respect,
    bedded in unspoken feeling,
    cloaked in past pain,
    the only thing you're stealing,
    is my soul, my mind & my heart,
    you in my life so right,
    I wretch each time we part,
    the emptiness that won't fill,
    overwhelmed by it all,
    in a silent night forever still.

    Fall asleep baby girl,
    dream of sweetness & peace,
    blessed serenity for your world,
    pray to keep & find you well,
    all because I care,
    Tears me to see you in hell,
    struggling deep within to find,
    answers to those linger questions,
    that trouble your heart & mind,
    knowing we're a an alien concept,
    understanding your position,
    that you can never forget,
    the past populating the today,
    for the unwritten tomorrow,
    by the need for love we crave.

    My arms a safe place,
    As I watch you sleep,
    passing peace on your face,
    each breath a passing moment,
    two souls intertwined,
    a million words left unquoted,
    full silence speaking to me,
    restful quiet as you sleep,
    deep in your own placidity,
    a repose away from the fight,
    the duality of a daily struggle,
    pacified in my arms at night,
    You the amity within my existence,
    the all & everything of what we have,
    worth every last ounce of my persistance.
