Won't eject cd when installing program

Hi,

I hope this is the right place for this question...

I have just received my shiny new pc. I have a _NEC DVD+-RW ND-3450A DVD writer.
I am installing the sims 2 and when I get to insert disc 2, it won't eject the cd! I know the cd is fine because I only installed it the other day.
I have tried from both the drive and explorer. The only way to release it is to reboot the pc and abort the installation!

Any ideas?

There should be a little hole on the front of the drive that you can stick a pin into to manually eject the cd. Try that.
