Dont do it - they are the worst thing you can do to your skin short of naked sunbathing under a hole in the ozone layer.

If you do want a tan - fake it. The good creams and sprays look better than the real thing if you are careful these days. Plus pale skin can be sexy...

Can't you just sit in the sun?

Like everything in the world, take it in moderation, just don't get addicted and turn into an umpa lumpa [Is that politically correct?]

Take a look at older Mediterranean women to see where it can lead. Chap I know is big into it and he's starting to look a bit wizened. Have to say there is something to be said for the porcelain look. Anyway if you're sick you look brown(or orange ) and sick instead of white and sick.

Nooo, the oompa loompa womens alliance will be after you for that one. Edit now or you'll end up with candy canes for crutches.

Why can't people just be happy with themselves?

Most people I know think anything other than a subtle coloured fake tan looks awful and sun beds make your skin sag badly.

If you really want to colour your skin fine, but if you go so dark that it doesn't looks unnatural (and you can tell that a blue eyed red haid doesn't have extra dark skin) then you won't be doing yourself any favours.

    No. No. And NO!

Why would you want to destroy your skin and get the sunbed tan look - it's orange and crap and fake!!

And it ruins your skin, wrinkles etc. Don't do it!

Sunbeds = buying yourself permanent skin damage.
    Don't do it.

No NO NOOOOO!!!!! Really bad idea. All that has been said I would agree with. Avoid them, bottled stuff aint that bad, or go for that winter Irish look! :)

Pale skin is comin back into fashion, or so I'm told.

I got a great tan a few years back from workin on the beach in rosslare everyday,
It was really depressing when it began to fade and I felt so dull and ugly and I was so close to goin on the sunbeds but I stopped and thought "Once I go on em there's no goin back"

So don't do it, you'll just be throwin your money away and prolonging your suffering!

To be honest i'd say that Sun Fx and spray tan stuff has more of an effect on your skin than sunbed - absorbing that much crap through your skin can't be good for you ..

Why is that? There's plenty of 'em here in college and some are just laughable. Is it a confidence thing or do they honestly not see what they're doing?

Please please please dont go on a sunbed. Its not worth it. Speaking from experience here (know someone who ended up worse for it), don't go on one.
