Recording gigs with your iRiver

On www.misticriver.net (the forum for iriver products) I found this guide for the H series.

    http://www.misticriver.net/boards/archive/index.php/t-5072.html

There is probably a lot more on the site too. I tried recording the beta band last week but it came out very distorted, I didn't know you could set the gain, so the sound had been recorded at high volume. It also has microphone recommendations.

If mine had turned out well I was going to email people the mp3 files, with broadband it is no problem these days. Hopefully anybody who records any gigs well would do the same.

    *is stupid*

I never even thought of this use for the iRiver! Thank you!

Then again, if I was going to see a favourite band, I wouldn't want to bring my iRiver and get it smashed..

The guy who wrote the guide is actually from dublin, he recommends a mic which I saw in maplins for €32
