was down in superquinn sutton last night and got one of these for 89 bucks

    it plays everything except rm
its a sweet little thing, the speakers are a bit cheapy but what do you expect at this price. ;)

    all sorts of outputs
    dts coax and opt
    scart
    y cb/pb cr/pr
    built in radio
2 mic ins the front for karoke discs

one thing i noticed is how fast browsing on it is.
theres no delay moving between folders or opening multiple xvids on a dvd

Check out this site - used hacks from it for my Philips 626 - worked a charm
You may find the hack you are looking for - typed in Digix and it brought up a few posts :D

My parents got one of these, it seems to be region free out of the box, in one of the setup menus it allows you to pick the region anyway, it might lock after a few plays. Anybody notice a way to input sound from a TV/Digital decoder into it to get the sound over 5.1 ?

Press the setup button on the remote, then I think it was the 3rd or 4th option down, in the sub-menu (press right to get) one of the options is region.

It was actually a locale setting under preferences. It doesn't seem to affct regions at all (or anything else as far as I can tell). Have tried a few of the codes from the sites above too but none are working, anybody have any luck converting it to region free ?

Scribs videohelp link above has cracks for the 1056A, I've tried them and they don't work on this though, unless I did it wrong of course.
