    I'm a first year comp sci student and I am looking for a part time job doing tech support anyone any ideas on where I could try?

    I guess you could try applying to eircom.net or eastbt or one of those and try getting a job on their support lines..

    Alternatively, a school might be a good place to start for some simple computing maintenance and setup work... ?

    Dell were looking for people a few months ago. don't know if they were taking people part time though. still no harm applying.

    Try the usual suspects, or check the hosters list on the hosting forum, perhaps they would give you work. Depends on your availability and skills...

    AFAIK Dell usually look for graduates, but if this isn't the case it would be a very good stepping stone (and good experience).
