    Hey guys,
    any of you know if shadow used a metallica sample on The Number Song? The song is called orion.. from master of puppets + the chords sound exactly the same!!

    I wouldn't be surprised at all, he has mixed a lot of different music, from 40s' jazz and soul music, to fatboy slim (entropy) to radiohead (rabbit in your headlights).
    I think he did something with richard ashcroft from the verve too on psyence fiction.. not sure..

    The track with Richard Ashcroft is called "Lonely Souls". UNKLE did the album which was DJ Shadow & James Lavelle. Cant help you with the MEtallica sample though.. havent a clue! smile.gif

    Ah nice1 m8 I just downloaded it from
    audio galaxy, do you know did shadow mix on this track at all?
    I tried all over town (HMV, Virgin, Tower
    records, golden discs) to get the CD and none of them had it.. HMV said they would
    order it for me but that was like 3 months
    ago!
    Sounds like a good cd tho, it has radiohead,
    badly drawn boy and the bassist from
    metallica

    Thats from Psyence Fiction also , as in the work of Unkle, Thom Yorke is simply guest vocalist .
