oh yeah. what a ****in excellent gig.

Supernatural was just amazing, freestyling all over the place, with loads of input from the crowds (red box was packed to the rafters), done a few damn original ideas: "3 Words", takes three words from ppl and throws them out during a rhyming session.. "revolving door", where he turns around and then raps in a different style (done Busta Rhymes & B.I.G & some other lad I forget..), he managed to get everyone in the place going mad and then brought out J5 themselves.

They, needless to say, were even better, churning out a good few tracks from their albums with Quality Control & Concrete Schoolyard going down best with the crowd.. genuinely seemed to love performing and stayed for 40 minutes after their set ended signing everything, which was damn cool, Akil (one of the MCs) was even giving it loads on the dance floor later during Creative Controls set trying to get into the pants of some fine blonde smile.gif

As for Creative Control, as the second time I'd seen them, first time I was well disappointed because I couldn't hear a word they were saying (thought it was down to the sound setup) but in the redbox they sounded just as ****e, I'll definitly be avoiding them in future, no clue about how to perform to a crowd at all.

Splyce & Mayhem were their usual excellent selves on the decks, both warming up the crowds before Supernautural and taking the helms for CC, although after Supernaturals * J5s DJs they sort of paled in comparison a tad wink.gif

    god DAMN !!

Ive known Jurasic 5 for the last 4 years, and they were the first album i ever bought.

I took up DJing because of Cut Chemist, and when he came on stage, i went MENTAL! The guy can scratch, rub, beat juggle, tweak - you name it! He was soooo good in RL it was unreal!
Tuna was a really nice guy too, he went around b4 the rest of J5 came out and he is a really nice guy... HE NEVER STOPPED SMILEinG biggrin.gif
Mark 7 was a bit more in the homie look, a nice guy but he diddnt have the same nice attitude as the reast of J5
Well at least he was nice enough to come out for signing papers wink.gif
Numark was cool, creative and very good on druns, turn tables, beat box and some other fúcked up instrument tongue.gif
Akil was off the hook during "Jayou" when he started to break dance and kicked out a windmill.
SuperNatural was cool too, basicly all his rhymes were freestyle and when he went around getting words off of the crowed i was the first guy to be told "Im not using that word DAMMMNNN !!!" biggrin.gif and he rapped about my red PHAT FARM hat (If you remember that kali).
I have never been to a gig that was filled with so many people that i know, be it internet or RL.
I was with 30 od RL m8s and 10 or so internet.
    As for splyce and mayhem....
Ive known splyce for about a year now and i have to say, he has gottin reallllly good lately. He just opened a shop in templebar, really good and i got a few records there.
Mayhem was going mental too, he is last years DMC ireland champoin so he has to be good wink.gif

Lads, we all should have made a post about the gig and met up or summat... it could have been better (i dont know how coz it was off the hook)

    Red.

P.S. Rahzel was off the hooooook too smile.gif

Rahzel was good, some of the stuff he can do is unreal, but he's only an average rapper ... the j5 crew on the other hand... woah, they rule.
Mark B and Blade at Rahzel were fsckin amazing too and their crowd surfin , man that rocked.
