I was just wondering if any of ye know whats the setup there is for camping at Witnness?

I had a house to kip in last year but this year its going to be a tent.I may be the one bringing it and i want to know will i be lugging the funking thing around with me for half the weekend? Or can i leave it somewhere that it wont get stolen.

There's an official cmapsite attached to the festival, tenner extra on the ticket price to get a pass for it for the weekend. Other than that.. well it's Meath, so there's lotsa fields about, I'm sure you'd be able to setup somewhere.

Rumour has it that you can bring drink onto the camping site but not the concert area. Anyone know if that is true.

I camped there last year. Drink in cans ONLY. They wont let you take in bottles. Camping always has a risk of having something nicked I suppose, but quite simply DONT BRING ANYTHING EXPENSIVE with you. Also a padlock on the tent would be ok. TBH I wouldnt be too paranoid about it.
If you bring something expensive then you will only be worrying about it, or lugging it with you (camera for example). So dont bother.

Advice for camping, don't bring anything you can't replace at very small cost, keep anything remotly valuable on your person.
Padlocks on your tent are a waste of time, tents are **** easy to cut open. The best way to stop all your stuff getting nicked is not to leave it in your bag in your tent, take it all out and fling it around, so if someone decides to rob you they'll usually just go for what ever they can get away with as quickly as possible, a sportbag full of clothes for example.
I very much doubt you'll be able to bring booze into the main concert area, no other festivals allow it.
    Happy camping
