    1.How come the irish cable companies can carry UTV and Channel 4 when Sky can't? if people go on about rights etc etc for beaming them into Ireland, how are the cable guys doing it legally???

    2.What are the chances of irish terrestrial channels ever being FTA even within the Republic? Right now, if outside a good aerial area you are goosed?

    3.Does anyone know if Chorus broadcast the Irish channels unencrptyed on their digital platfrom....and is that digital platform wireless or Cable?
    I know from my parents house long go that if you got Chorus in on the old analogue cable and cancelled it that the cable carreid an unencrypted RTE signal. Basically, I want to try and have RTE signals for the rest of my house other than the main TV where i will be paying a subs.....and the aerial reception is crap!
