So our next game: Is the Santa Strike Force charity game, www.santastrikeforce.com, in which Tom and many others from boards.ie will run around a toy shop and then around the city handing out many presents to the city’s needing children to spread some cheer at this festive period.

Entry: €65, €15 of this goes to the charity
    Date: Tuesday 14th December '04
Time: 7.30 Dealing, so be there for 7 please

Side game; on the night you may be asked if you wish to declare for a team, no extra charge and no prize money involved, The teams will be suitedaces/boards Vs The Fitz; When you get knocked out your position will be logged and the team with the lowest score shall be deemed champions. So will it be the new kids on the block to win or the old school to teach us a lesson.

The one thing for sure is we need as many bodies there as possible to get some good poker action flowing

    Suited Aces Team

Yup, cash game fun afterwards (to suit all pockets) and from the feedback I'm getting it should be a good night! Hope to see you all there!

lowest score being accumulated finishing places..

so 1st is best, 150th is worst...

It only makes sense if the teams have the same amount of people. You going to add up the best totals of the team with more people up to the amount of people on the smaller team?

Easy enough to sort out. If one team has 35 and the other 41 runners then top 35 ( or 30/25) from each team score points.

We'll even out the teams and also even if we had 35 and 41 (jesus I'd LOVE that many people to show) it will probably be down to the last 18 players before we even start to keep score.

Would this event be suitable for a couple of 'online only' players who have never seen a real-life poker table?

it'll be perfect, there'll be a lot of friendly people from Suited Aces and Boards and it would be a good introduction to the world of casinos..

    you should definitely come along..

We would be delighed to see you there, we all had to get a start at some stage, and that is one of the suitedaces goals, to ease the drop into real wotld tournament play by keeping the atmosphere somewhat as relaxed as possible.

Dont be afraid on the night to come up to one of the suitedaces guys and we'll give you any advise you need.

I hope as many people as possible will make it down tomorrow for the game, should be a bit of a laugh and hopefully raise some cash at the same time!

I'll give every member of the boards.ie business league team a cock punching in addition to their entry fee.

    Hows that for value?

Well if it was anyone other than you it wouldn't be great value, but the DapperGent....

Tonights game will be more or less the Christening Tournament for the new upstairs in the Fitz. New tables n' everyfing 'guv!

I've already said I will hand a crisp new 20 euro bill to Mr *spit* Cleary. Though the concept of a "double or nothing" in tonights game makes me wet with excitement...

I have to admit I am looking forward to my first visit to a poker room, though all my friends deserted me and as such will be heading in alone. Should I just ask for the charity no-limit tournie while filling in my application form for membership?

You'll fill in your form at the front desk after that you'll head inside and you'll see the tournament desk in the centre of the room by the stairs. You can register there.

There is only one tournie on at 7pm tonight (there is a draw poker tournie on at 9). Dont fret Iona, when you see how the place works you'll realise your questions seem weird to us :)
