Sky credit card problems

I got the 'unable to collect your subscription' letter from Sky this morning.
I was pretty cheesed off about this, since they had me jumping through hoops after the card expiry changeover before - bank blamed Sky, Sky blamed bank - got disconnected for their sins.

Anyway, my card didn't expire recently (see above), and I knew that I had funds in the account to cover any payments, so I phone up and asked what the story is (and to pay the overdue amount). It turns out that Sky have decided to stop accepting 'international' CC payments on an auto debit basis. My options now are to A. use direct debit mandate form, B. Phone up every month and pay by CC over the phone, C. Lump it.

I complained about their policy change inconveniencing me, about the lack of advance notice of this policy change, and their general poor approach to this whole thing. Not much else I can think of except pull the plug as a protest.

So those of you paying on monthly CC debits should expect similar treatment in the next weeks.

My direct debit payment via credit card went through yesterday with no problems.

I had to re-set up my direct debit, as my C card had expired, no problems doing it.

    did it on tuesday

Same here, CC expired twice recently (due to new Chip&Pin cards), got 2 letters, made 2 phone calls, no problems.

Same here, changed last week with new chip and pin card and was set up successfully. If they did cancel that payment option I would probably disconnect and more than likely would a lot of other million customers, cause nobody would ring up every month and silly bank fees for bank a/c DD
