that's it really. all the cheap places to get xxx threads (inc. the sticky one) seem to be about onlin retailers. my problem is I'm pushe dfor time and i need to get some tomorrow, so does anyone know the cheapest shop in dublin, around city centre to get dvdr's? i'm thinking of pete's, maplin's, hmv, virgin etc. but i don't know who's my best bet for cheap discs.

i got a sweet deal on a cake box of 25 dvd+rw's in pc world (or is it compustore) in blanch for €25 a few weeks back, but their dvdr's were pretty much the same price.

anyone have a better place to get them quickly? i could do blanch if necessary as it's on my way home from work.

I actually laughed out loud when I saw them. I buy the same 4x dvd's for around 10 euro for a 25 spindle from svp.co.uk

Harvey Normans = overpriced IMO. I've been badly stung by them before on a set of 5.1 speakers, and their 110% of the difference thing just annoys me. If you stop to think about it that is.

Having said that, if you're in a rush and willing to pay a premium those dvd's are grand. I usually burn them at 2.4x. I've never had a coaster at 4x, but I have seen glitches in movies burned at that speed.

This warrants a second post. I'm on the www.marx-computers.com mailing list. Just got their christmas mail and they're doing the following:

    "Arita 8x DVD-R 25 pack Euro 15 inc VAT"

They're an online store, but located in clontarf, so you can call into them.

    HTH.

if you want a shop to go and buy them, I would recommend Peats funny enough,
They sell TDK DVD- and +Rs for 23 EURO.
no nonamer bu%%%%%t, work like a dream, you have to ask them for them though

There's a shop in finglas village called Just Media. They sell them very cheap. I get 25 Arita 4x +r's for 15 EURO and they have cheaper brands as well.
