I was waiting for this phone to come out for a while because it seems like a good phone and a good price. Trouble is even though it's 'out', I can't get it in any Meteor stores. It's always 'oh we had them but ran out of them yesterday' but I'm a bit suspicious as to whether they have had them in the first place. Anybody bought one?

We had 5 or so in and they sold out in about 2 days. They were amazingly popular. You have to remember that prepay phones are flying out the door as parents are buying early for Xmas. Very similar to the Sagem MyX5-2 which I would say is the best selling phone on Meteor.
I'm sure we'll all be getting them in again though.

The sagem myv-65 (i think) on vodafone was "impossible" to get when it hit the shelves, sheesh, the favours i had to call in to get one of those for my sister
I think people (rightly imho) love the sagems for their cheap but amazing cameras.

If xtravision are selling the myc5 you would get it in Xtravision as I got the other one myx5 there no problem. And they will ring around and hold it for you, apart fropm that try ringing meteor stores and ask them to hold it for you when it comes in - they may be feelig the Christmas spirit and do it!!!!

Meteor blanch received 140 of them today...

They're not as good as the myx5-2 IMHO. The screen and camera quality is a lot grainier even tho its just a myx5-2 in clamshell form

theyre much smaller, a flip phone, blue

menu functions are practically identical to the Sagem MyX5-2

    theyre selling pretty fast
and they are actually a decent phone :)

    finally got one...

now can anybody tell me where to go on the meteor website to re-register my details? cos I sure as hell can't find it!

you cant reregister with your old number, if you got a new phone with a new number i'm afraid credit can only be used on that sim card and with that phone, its not transferable whatsoever!

You're confusing the issue. That is true, but if you buy an upgrade pack then all the credit is applied to your account and you don't get a new number. You do have to re-register your details to get the call credit.

nah I found that button alright but the site is messed up when you fill out that form you get an error message

and when I called 1905 the guy on the end didn't know how to do it

    so much for customer service

oh and their gprs doesn't seem to be working either

not a good advertisement for Meteor all in all!

i dont understand it myself but for mms to work for metoer subs
they have to send themshelves a blank MMS to their own number

this allows the network to know you can do it and
activates it properly on your account,

    this might solve your problem

but if GPRS isnt working at all then 1905 is your best bet :)
