Um more importantly where the f*ck was shameless. Bloated middle aged men's fantasys about teenagers masquerading as a TV show that is the OC, and a serious of plot holes and unorginal scripting that was 24 series 3.

Shameless was funny, black, pogniant. It won a rake of awards, was generally regarded as the finest work of Paul Abbott's to date. Had a fantastic case, and had stories style and script, with episodes being played out with visual flare and imagination.

And all that for a budget that wouldn't have seen Jack Bower make it to half past four in the morning.

Whats more it helps prove that Irish talent is alive and well with three irish women, directing, editing and acting in major roles.
