im looking for a book recommendation.
a horribly horrible depressing and sad book.
my friends have found my recent enthusiasm for, well, EVERYTHING a little less than infectious... ive been on a steady diet of nick cave, tom waits, radiohead and leonard cohen etc...
bear in mind, the saddest book ive ever read is of mice and men...
so come on people, MAKE ME WEEP!!!

I hear there's a Japanese "Suicide Book" that if you read it, it makes you want to commit suicide.
Otherwise... little books have stirred me emotionally (or at least not in a depressing way).

[EDIT: Found book. Kanzen Jisatsu Manyuaru by Wataru Tsurumi.]

Offhand "An Age of innocence" by Edith Wharton. About people being trapped by the confines of their society - or just rent the movie.
