    Hi folks,

Is the header on the inside of an Audigy 2 PCI card the same as the standard Motherboard Firewire header or is it one that only connects to the Audigy front panel?

    Thanks for your help,

    David

if I remeber right, I tried this aswell and couldn't get the Firewire port to run through the Motherboard port.
only worked on the Audigy 2
in theory though, it should work.
give it a try, you can't really damage anything

Was thinking of getting a front panel firewire port (one of those that link to a firewire header on motherboard), but as my MoBo doesn't have a firewire header, I was hoping to use the header on the top of the Audigy 2 card. I haven't bought anything, so I don't have a cable to try it and don't want to buy anything in case header is different.. Maybe I will google for a picture of a firewire header and see if it looks the same as the one on the top of the pci card.
