Nominations here for what you thought was the best soundtrack or score of 2004. It can be just for one song that was used very effectively, or the whole composition used throughout.

To be eligible, the film using the score/soundtrack/song must have been released on Irish cinema screens during the year 2004. Each voter can only nominate a maxiumum of two titles. Any further ones shall be ignored.

How about best song in a movie in 2004, two have really stuck in my mind..

Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometimes - Beck - Eternal Sunshine

Shadow on the Sun - Audioslave - Collateral ... the scene at the beginning where the cab driver is just cruising along with the woman in the back, this song just works so well

Can I put "Mr Blue Sky" from Eternal Sunshine down, even though it's not technically in the movie (it appears in the trailer and on the soundtrack)?

    Lost in Translation

Struggling to come up with another so I'll vote for Pieces of April as it had a few good songs in it.

Collateral - Some really appropriate music in key scenes.
    Oldboy - Really enjoyed Yeong-wook Jo's score.

Was Last Samurai this year? I like hans Zimmer's epic scores. 2004 really has been a poor year for everything. I hope the film score is not dying.
