I made a complete mess of upgrading XP Home to XP Pro. Instead of upgrading I managed to install XP Pro over my existing XP Home. The result is a mess – lost of programs requiring a re-install because the reg entries or dlls are missing. So now I am going to wipe the disk and do a clean install of XP Pro. Before I do I want to back up configuration on some of my programs – I am half way through some games and I don’t want to start again. Is there any software tools to do this? I used the XP file and setting transfer wizard before my disastrous upgrade but that didn’t seem to work very well. Any help would be appreciated

If it's just games make a copy of the save games folder on each game.
