HDD Recorders - Recommendation?

    Hi - I'm looking to buy a HDD recorder but not willing to pay for the Sky+ option. Does anyone know of a system that will still read the EPG or do I need a system with Videoplus+.

    the only system that gives the excellent SKY EPG is a Sky receiver.

    Other receivers will only give a now and next or if you are a german channel viewer you will get a next day EPG on some channels

    But you can't watch a recording from some channels if you cancel your subs after recording it and the rental adds up.
