30pounds of free clothes

Before you read further you'll need to know someone in the UK or NI to avail of this...
A shop called La Redoute in the UK have a website at:
    http://www.redoute.co.uk/homepage.html

They have a fixed shipping charge of 3.45sterling, no matter how large the order is...

As a first time customer, if you use the following code you get free 30pounds worth of stuff, no catches.

I used my credit card, with an address in northern ireland to order about 35pounds worth of stuff, I ended up having to pay about 5-6sterling for the lot (the difference & shipping)
Strange thing is I didn't have to give 2 different addresses like you do on some sites (ie. billing address and shipping address...), so I suspected an email a day later telling me bad luck. But
While it hasn't been delivered yet according to banking365 the money has been taken and they sent me a dispatch email.

    So the code is 8074

    Good luck with this...

OT: You can view your credit card transactions online with banking 365?

sure can... you just have to ring them and set it up first... and transactions only go since the last statement you were printed

Yeah - but you can view past statements too so it's all cool

Hmmm...Seems a little good to be true.

I don't see any mention of the ad on their website? Probably just blind though.

Also, surely your address would need to match credit card details? Or do you mean they only want a delivery address?!

    It actually works.
    I even emailed them beforehand...
    They said:
"Please open the account with the Northern Ireland address and make payment
with the card at the time of the order, the goods will be despatched to that
    address automatically."

I got one email that said:
"We are pleased to inform you that the goods shown below are now ready to be
despatched from our warehouse and should be delivered shortly."

    The next email:
"Thank you for your payment as detailed below. This has been credited to
    your account.
    Payment date Value
    03/12/04 £7.45"

    checked banking365 next day
03 DEC 2004 LE REDOUTE (UK) BRADFORD GB 10.96
    7.45GBP RATE 0.6797

So CC security is obviously a bit lax :)
They did ask for the CCV2 number (or whatever it is) though when applying.

Just have to wait for my night-dress to arrive now...

Cheers for that, just bought myself a few bits - order came to £47 & only have to pay £17.. not half bad..
Now I just have to persuade my brother to post the order over to me

Hey, did anyone end up getting these clothes?

I got an email straight after I placed my order saying that it was being processed, but there was no order no. on the mail.
I wrote to the company last week asking what was happening, as I hadn't got any mail to say it'd been shipped and the money wasn't taken off my credit card, but I haven't got any response as yet!

Just wondering if this was just some sort of a scam or if they wouldn't ship to a different address to what was on my credit card??

Think this one was too good to be true,

ordered over a week ago, credit card not charged and clothes never dispatched to my shippin address in N. Ireland.
Seems strange they would not even email me to tell me the code was invalid or something.

    Ah well :(

    Ordered 8/12/04.
    2 weeks and nada!!!

I wrote to the customer services department asking where my order is & got a response saying that they have no trace of it & could I place it again. However when I try using the discount code, it's no longer valid & the prices of the products have gone up slightly.
I've just written an email back to customer services, asking if the discount code is just a ploy to get people onto their site, so I'll keep you all posted if I get a reply!

Chump - did you end up getting this order as they actually took the money from your account??

Hi - did anyone ever get anything from this company???
After my email to Customer Services, I got a smart email back asking where I got the discount code & that it wasn't valid. I never replied to that and thought no more about it!
But today I just got 2 emails from the customer services department - 1st one saying that my order was being dispatched and then the 2nd telling me that the money was being taken from my Credit Card - full amount - without the discount!!!!
I presume they can't do this as the initial email confirming my order had the discount on it? I hope they can't considering the order should have only come to £17 and now comes to £47!
