Pay an extra 15 and get the NAPA 256MB one from Dixons!
Double the memory, and all the features of the Aldi one!
Its being advertised in practically every national newspaper today.

Its this one in 256MB: http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/store/dix_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@2113169955.1102100066@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccladddekgiggmcflgceggdhhmdgmh.0&page=Product&sku=286849&category_oid=-21648&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null

One thing about aldi/lidl is that they use generic batteries. an AAA this time

It's nice that you can also stick in an SD card to boost the storage

    the supervalu one.
Its very small runs off a aa(a) battery, it has a display but only the time of the song not the name. Its usb 1.1 and comes with the approriate cable etc. 128mbs. It has that one control stick for playback control, seen it in loads of mp3 players. Basically, push left to go back one song right to go forward one song. Hold it in either direction to change volume. Has a seperate power button and repeat settings.

The bad thing about it is there is no fastforward or rewind that I could see, only had it for 10mins, thats a pisser for me and long songs/comedy stuff.

I definitely prefer the sound of the Aldi one, especially with the built in SD card reader

Check out this guy on eBay — I just bought two 512Mb players with built-in FM for about €65 and €70 each including shipping to Ireland (by airmail, I had them in about 5 or 6 days...)

You've gotta be a bit patient to get them that cheap — I'd suggest using an auction 'sniper' like the one at www.snip.pl and avoiding auctions that end on the weekend.

anyone know what model this is? Want to find a review.

Even the Tevion website address would be a start.

picked one up today, its a pressie so will test it out but will not know till christmas just how good/bad it is.. as long as it works and volume is not too low it should be fine.

I got one today as well. Tested out the volume and sound quality and it is quite satisfactory. I'm surprise there's a loud speaker built in too and don't know why there are two earphone jacks right beside each other. Perhaps it was designed for someone that has four ears? :D

it means you can have 2 people listening to it at the same time

Never heard of these sniper sites before! thanks. I have got a few bargains while snipping, any other sites that do it?

yes just tested and im very impressed.. it has volume unlike my last one. the inbuilt speaker does not work very well though.. only a little bit of sound comes out. the 2 headphone jacks are a bonus..
