Skins game, good or bad!

    “Skins game is like an action packed movie,” Vijay Singh said that when he was in New Delhi playing a skins tournament. No doubt it is for it does have a lot of drama and the best part it ends quickly. But it’s not the real test for a player or for that matter an avid golf follower.
    Now we have two people with different viewpoints on game. Doug Carey, the publications director of www.travelgolf.com says something while blogger Jason Scott says something else…
    As far as I am concerned enjoy both the formats, but truly the 4-day format cannot be enjoyed on TV…I go to sleep when ever I sit to watch it, and then watching it for four days, who has the time for that…what do you say.

    Your right, 4 day skins would'nt be too appealing, but 1 day skins are fine. Sometimes i watch them but still prefer normal tournaments. Suppose they are a bit unfair though because after 17 holes they could be tied then a player, who might have played brutal up to then, could have an eagle or something on the 18th and win the hole pot!

    I like the one day skin games every now and then, they are fun to watch and its usually pretty lighthearted. Anything longer than a day would be crap though.

    We play skins in our 3-ball on a Saturday, it means if you are playing crap you still have something to play for. If you have 3 crap holes in a 12 hole comp its pretty much all over and too easy to drop the head.
