Has anyone got any recommendations for gaming mice? I have a MS inteli eye at the moment but the left button has started jamming and causing a real pain while gaming.

Hear hear on the MX510 - I bought one from PixMania.com only last week. Bloody superb so it is.

They have it in red and blue :)

8e delivery, I ordered it on Thursday, and I got it on Tuesday (3 working days - DHL)
    Pretty damn cool :)

I've decided to atempt some mouse corrective surgery.

The problem is tha he left button is not returning properly and holding the switch down, so I'm goin to try and fix a spring inside the mouse for ensure that the button rises properly. Yes I know exactly how silly that sounds but.... why not?

That mouse does look sweet much I'm a bit strapped for € at the mo

Mx510, get one, less hasle than repairing you old mouse and it should improve your shot acuracy.

The hassle I dont really mind I enjoy this kinda thing. The only thing wrong is the return action on the button other than that I love the feel of the mouse I have.

while ordering some stuff i decided to get a new mouse
i got the Razer Diamondback (magma) because it's pretty and red and glows
OH SWEET JESUS is it smooooooth

not to everyone's tastes though, the shape is a little different and the button(s) on the right hand side (that you use with your pinky) are hard to use so I don't really bother with them.

I hear many good things about the MX510 though.

I've had a logitech Dual optical for quite some time now and I must say, I love it.

    Nice comfy and accurate.

where ya pick it up from koneko and how do you find it compared to the mx1000?

Kazujo: MS Intellimouse's (mice? :)) have been known to feck up on the left button.

My own used to double click when I pressed it once for about 80% of the clicks that I actually made. Bloody annoying I tell you. Another reason for my mouse change ... and I'm damn happy too!

Still though, I did like the intellimouse

So much better than the mx1000, it's a grand mouse but this is so much smoother. The MX1000 is quite heavy aswell, and I don't have big hands so it can get annoying in-game sometimes. I thought the MX1000 was grand before until I tried this one :)

    Got it from Jes.de

Seen a lot of satisfied Razer Diamondback customers and a lot of satisfied MX510 customers around alright - shape of that put me off, much prefer the shape of the MX510.

yeah it's definitely a matter of preference, the shape is a bit different alright. It's very flat, light, and the two main buttons are very big. Your hand is in a little bit of a different position than with ergonomic shaped mice like the new Microsoft ones and the MX series. I have small-ish hands I guess so the shape suits me fine, but I can definitely see how it wouldn't suit everyone.

I've been thinking of setting myself up the Viper or Diamondback as of late - I used a Boomslang back in my Quaking days and it rocked my box0rs. I've yet to sample Razer's newer models though.

Me too! Likes it so much I bought a second one as a spare. Now on a 2nd PC. Great mice. I think they don't make them anymore though : (

Had a Razor 2000 and hated it. They seem to forget about the ergonomics everytime.

Aye i have the mx510 but i broke the left click button from slamming it down on the desk too many times, so i got the mx1000......

And that's when my pain started...''Worst Mouse Ever''...it's ****ing horrible in a sense that evan if you lift up the mouse 1-2mm off the mat and put it back down the cursor jumps a few inches...you can see how this really helps your aim in instagib ut2k4 and css when your turning around fast and have to lift the mouse a bit.

I was in contact with logitech tech support but they just gave me the usual..reinstall the drivers blah blah blah..which didnt help, then i found 45 pages of posts in another forum with ppl having the same issue with this mouse.

Needless to say dont touch this mouse if you'r a gamer...

I have the MX1000 and I dont have any problems with it. I use it to play a lot of games and I never had any problems even when lifting it up the map. I guess I'm just lucky. I have never used MX510 but in comparison with my old mouse, which was a microsoft wireless mouse, the MX1000 is by far a lot better. I dont get any lag in any of the games.

i've used a varity of mice and i play CS daily, so i know the importance of a good mouse, the one i'm particular with is the MS intelli v3.0.

they are discontinued now, but that's why i have two of them in reserve, they really are the best mouse (i think)

i purchased the mx510 yesterday (good man loobz :D )
been playing call of duty united offensive all day on it and it has improved my accuracy,if my spelling is bad it's because gaming all day has fried my brain
i doubt you ll find a better mouse than this sexy lil thing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 649 ✭✭✭Kazujo

Well working better atleast. I hot glued a few aprings into my mouse and it is now seems to be a hell of a lot more relable on the left button albeit slightly heavier to press, once it stops jamming I'm happy. I'll upload some pics later.

Awell it was worth a shot. I'll have to have a look at one of the Logitechs the next time I'm out. I prefer the feel of the MS but the Logitech could possibly change my opinion

Logitech make the best mice tbh. I have the older version of the mx510, the mx500. Bloody excellent mouse. Fits like a glove and great for games and desktop use.
