    Hi, i just bought a ipod mini, now i dont have a mac or anything. is there any adaptors or anything i need to buy to get it working?

    yes i have a pc, with a usb port, not sure usb 1 or usb 2.0 . Do i need a usb adaptor or should it come with the ipod?

    I believe you have to connect through your dock. If it a USB 1 or 2 is of little consequence unless you are interested in high speed transfer, as 1 and 2 are backward compatible.

    what is the dock? does it come with the ipod mini?

    USB 1 is deathly slow if you're planning on transferring a loads of tunes to the ipod.

    how slow to load up say 300 songs? i dont mind leaving it on for an hour or so . it'll only need to be done once

    Nope there is no dock with the mini.

    You dont need anything really, the USB cable is included so just install itunes and the iPod drivers and away you go :)

    are you sure the usb cable is included? becuase i bought a ipod about 8 months ago and it was a firewire cable that came with it, the usb one was extra :mad:

    Yeah, the older ones didnt ship with a USB cable, the mini and the 4th Gen ones do.
