eh, might be the wrong place but...

I get that with runners too, usually older ones but it happened with a fairly new pair once. I never figured it out but I know how annoying it can be.

    Are they Nike Air's??

    Is the air bubble punctured?

If so, a bike puncture repair kit might work.

    I hate that!!!
And then you end up walking funny because its less noisy that way and then people laugh at you.....

There could be a mouse living in them.

Care to elaborate? Too loose at that particular time of squeeking? Too loose most of the time causing uneven wear?

you could always try wearing a different pair of runners

Thats what I found was making mine squeak before, just making the top(around the ankle) a little bit tighter stopped it. So it could be because they're too loose like, or it could be waters got into the sole, which means buying a new pair.

I'll try tightening them. They're vans. Only the right one squeaks. I hope it's not water. I haven't had them particularly long.. expect to get another 8 months out of em anyway. Grrr.

Vans squeaking?Thats the first time ive heard of that! But yeah, they're worn fairly loose around the ankle, from what I know, so just try tightening them up a bit, should do the job.If it is water, put them on the radiator for a while, I did that before, it only works for a while though ( til you're back out in rain :) )

    What a coincidence!

BOTH my Vans squeak (fairly unworn too). Just happened about a month ago. I reckon it was the wet but it's unbearable now. No really...Have you tried walking around a library with them?! Gonna try burn it outa them!

Nikes with a burst bubble are good for the bin.

i find its usually moisture, is there a little rip in the sole ? and has it been wet outside..

    Try oiling them.

Of course the lack of friction may make walking difficult.
