    http://www.epitonic.com/

Don't work for them or anything, it's just an amazing site for music fans.

some ****y quote from their site:

"Our goal is to exalt the unexalted, to bring you goth, noise, electronica, techno, punk, indie rock, darkwave, no wave, jungle, hardcore, world music, and things we would dare never even classify. Utilizing the liberated mp3 format, Epitonic.com aspires to live up to our neologistic moniker, the center from which waves of disruptive purity emit"

Basically they have a bunch of genres with bandpages complete with mp3s for bands within the genre they like.

    Pretty comprehensive.

Makes me want to buy far too many cds which I can't afford just to hear more music from teh bands they list, which is I guess how they make their money....

So, probably best to bring a few zip disks into college/work and download as much of the stuff as you can before they go under.
